Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in La Crosse, WI. In this role, you will coordinate, organize and supervise production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

This role will be based on-site at our La Crosse, Wi facility and is safety-sensitive.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.

  • Assumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings.

  • Ensures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations.

  • Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering.

  • Manages, develops, and improves manufacturing standards to include machine capability, process maps, equipment and line set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, process routings, and production cycle times.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional individuals and teams to build consensus and achieve best practice outcomes (includes participation in and occasionally leading rapid improvement events as part of site’s Lean transformation journey).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.

  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience required (will consider co-ops and internships as experience).

  • Results-oriented individual with an emphasis on achieving overall team performance through a strong work ethic and positive attitude with honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to inform, influence, and advise others.

Base Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000/annually
