Work schedule: Full-Time Position, Monday Friday 8am 5pm

Position Summary:

Reports to office manager. Responsible for clerical tasks, systems and procedures related to Substance Abuse Felony Punishment facility (SAFPF)/In-Prison Therapeutic Community (IPTC) programs in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.

Essential Functions include but not limited to:

  1. Perform varied clerical duties for the programs department including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.

  2. Maintain records and files in hard copy and electronic form; maintain confidentiality of all records and correspondence.

  3. Assist programs staff in obtaining, preparing and/or copying materials.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. One (1) year full-time, wage-earning clerical or secretarial experience to include computer operations.

  3. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.

  4. Valid drivers license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
