Applied Materials Supplier Business Manager in Kulim, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities

  • Worked closely with suppliers to ensure that supply assurance and optimization.

  • Ensure suppliers optimize capacity, WIP and inventory.

  • Work with various functional teams/Business Units

  • Execute sourcing strategies in alignment with GSA and Business Units, Procurement.

  • Ensure suppliers deliver on OTD, on costs, on quality.

  • Drive delivery commits from suppliers in collaboration with CBM assistance.

  • Work with Supplier Engineering and Quality Teams to drive supplier qualification and meet AMAT’s quality specifications.

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies to maximize supplier assurance.

  • Supply chain capacity planning to ensure continuity of supply and maximize internal manufacturing efficiency.

  • Drive QBR with Suppliers and Management

Functional Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and solutions, with emphasis in the semiconductor industry

  • Knowledge in SAP, supplier collaboration systems and other related systems.

  • Good understanding of the WFE Semiconductor Industry.

Business Expertise

  • Ability to relate the AMAT’s businesses with suppliers’ capabilities, capacity and costs.

  • Good understanding of Supplier’s landscape

Problem Solving

  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

Interpersonal Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills. Able to influence and collaborate with different functional teams to achieve a positive outcome and meet Applied’s key objectives.
