Role Summary

The Materials Planner will establish working relationships with the following parties: Zimmer vendors, 3rd party vendors, Functions in the SME organization: Sales and Marketing, customer service, distribution, Finance and QA/RA

The Materials Planner is accountable for reviewing and working with each Country’s Sales/Product Manager / Marketing Manager on forecast versus actual usage to forecast to Warsaw/vendors ensuring sufficient inventory is available to support service levels.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing and sales in demand control and upload in system

  • Work with manufacturing in supply control.

  • S&OP meeting with Sales / Marketing and Manufacturing to ensure demand and supply on track.

  • Control and analysis inventory level including reduced Obsolescence (E&O)

  • Lead and corporate in demand and supply issue with regional and other country in product concern.

  • Work with warehouse and marketing to set the inventory safety stock level in SAP and SMS warehouse.

  • Work with marketing / sales and concern people to set up for the new product launch / brand rationalize.

  • Accountable for reviewing and working with country’s Sales/Product Manager on forecast versus actual usage to ensure improvement in the quality of forecast.

  • Executing related tasks in order to delivery results as per project objectives and timelines.

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • Master / Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management / Business Administration/ Supply Chain / Engineering or related filed.

  • Professional education in planning such as CPIM or CPM

  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in supply chain management, materials planning and inventory management functions in the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical, electronic or automobile industry.

  • Inventory control and forecast system.

  • Hands-on experience in SAP (Preferable IBP)
