Job Summary

The Global Reporting Senior Analyst will serve as the point of contact and FP&A reporting expert for the assigned region representing our Global Reporting Hub (GRH) team. The role has the combined responsibilities of supporting critical business partners within the region with their reporting needs, while also serving as a vocal advocate for GRH standards, tools and governance globally. This role is responsible for driving aspects of global standardized management reporting and business intelligence both within their region in alignment with standard management reports produced by the GRH centralized team. This will include educating regional users on existing reports, functionality, and serving as a gatekeeper for any new report requests to fully understand requirements. This regional representative must ensure certain regular reports are produced and published to regional users on time and accurately according to the needs of Zimmer Biomet. In doing so, this position helps Zimmer Biomet commit to the highest standards of patient safety and quality in our products and services and to world-class integrity and ethical business practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guide the standardization of reporting, documentation, and regional alignment to the corresponding global FP&A report standards and processes

  • Manage business stakeholder relationships and reporting requirements within the region. Oversee data extraction and transformation processes to produce daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly standard reports based on large data sets including unstructured databases, and establish efficient processes for their creation as needed by Zimmer Biomet

  • Leverage Power BI platform and/or other Zimmer Biomet visualization tools or systems to publish professional and dynamic reporting dashboards for the region as needed

  • Execute data analysis and production of ad hoc reports as requested to support regional business partners. This can include any necessary queries, data extracts, analysis, and validation of results in order to satisfy business user needs

  • Drive to streamline and optimize internal work processes

  • Guarantee governance compliance workflow around management reporting.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • Ability to work independently in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Advanced understanding of standard reporting processes and global reporting standards, in particular PowerBI

  • Advanced understanding of financial data systems (i.e., data source systems), data standards

  • Understanding and ability to anticipate reporting needs of business partners

  • Understanding of planning processes (AOP and Projections), global planning standards and methodologies. Knowledge of overall finance terms and concepts.

  • Problem solving skills

  • Understanding of continuous improvement concepts and process optimization

  • Ability to collaborate with technology teams to develop data sources and models to enable Power BI dashboards

  • Knowledge of Zimmer Biomet products, business units and market landscape

  • Deep understanding of market and product hierarchies and how our franchise is structured

  • Must understand culture differences within a global company and be able to effectively communicate and work with those globally.

  • Ability to communicate upwards and across the organization

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Must be able to effectively use standard desktop software (Excel, PowerPoint, databases, etc.)

Education/Experience Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent and 8+ years of applicable experience OR a ssociate’s degree and 6+ years of applicable experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of applicable experience

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business management or equivalent. 5 years of experience in Finance.

Desirable:

  • Completed or ongoing master’s degree in data science
