Description

Amazon is looking for a highly motivated individual with responsibility for innovating and executing exciting new growth opportunities for our end-to-end global supply chains. As we grow, accurate planning and execution will be critical to serving our customers. Come join us as Logistics Specialist.

In this highly visible and critical role, we are looking for a Logistics Specialist who has good analytical acumen to translate that vision into an executable plan. This person will work extensively with Amazon infrastructure teams, product management teams, technical teams, finance and customers to help grow the business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Communicate and explain end-to-end supply chains (inputs, outputs, rationale, and gaps) and recommendations to senior management.

  • Help to define and deliver end-to-end supply chains.

  • Perform day-to-day, hands-on logistics activities to support data center operation and expansion.

  • Inventory analysis and management to ensure a high level of accuracy, optimum stock level and high fulfillment.

  • Warehouse management and housekeeping.

  • Establish and document process and procedures.

  • Act as the focal point for logistics in new projects/sites.

  • Drive improvement initiatives.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years or less experience in supply chain or logistics

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Perform day-to-day, hands-on logistics activities to support data center operation and expansion. May need to lift up to 20kg with help of other colleagues or tools.

  • Inventory analysis and management to ensure a high level of accuracy, optimum stock level and high fulfillment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Establish and document process and procedures

  • Act as the focal point for logistics in new projects/sites

  • Able to work independently and with minimum supervision

  • Drive improvement initiatives

  • Work authorization in Malaysia

Preferred Qualifications

  • Warehouse management

  • Import and export work

  • Project management

  • Good knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies
