Human Resource Executive

Working together with the Colleague Resources Director, Asia in delivering Colleague Resources (CR) operational excellence and people agenda in Malaysia.

The Colleague (Human) Resources Executive (CRE) plays a vital role in supporting the organization through the development and implementation of CR strategies and programmes that provides an employee-oriented, high performance culture. The CRE is responsible for providing support in the various colleague resource functions, which principal responsibilities, although not exhaustive, include:

Business Partnership

  • Establish strong working partnership with business and its respective colleagues, providing CR services and solutions to support business strategies and in the achievement of their business objectives

  • Responsible for CR operational excellence through regional and country specific initiatives

  • Work closely with business on staff planning, budgeting and adherence to approved budget and headcounts

  • Provide support in all CR and staff related matters, control and manage with respect to compliance and statutory requirements.

  • Provide advice, assistance and guidance on the implementation and interpretation of CR policies, procedures and documentation, and co-ordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and enquiries from the departments

  • Support employee engagement programs which include Employees Survey, Excellence Awards, on-boarding programs etc.

Rewards & Systems

  • Responsible for timely and accurate payroll management

  • Assist and administer in annual and performance management review

  • Participate in CR-related surveys and market research and keep abreast with market trends and practices

  • Accountable for CR data integrity and compliance

Talent Acquisition

  • Define the best and most cost-effective recruiting such as post advertisements at relevant recruitment websites, and explore different channels for candidates sourcing

  • Partner and actively working with respective hiring managers in achieving manpower requirements through recruitment initiatives

  • Assist in job descriptions with the hiring managers

  • Support and collaborate with hiring managers during the screening and interviewing process by providing regular status updates of the recruiting process

  • Build relationships and partnerships with identified universities and institutions in recruitment campaigns, and participate in career and job fairs

  • Responsible for utilizing social media as a recruiting tool in order to ensure company visibility such as LinkedIn, Facebook

  • Manage applicant tracking list, referral program and internships

  • Screening and profiling resumes to hiring managers and involve in the interview process

  • Assist in on-boarding and orientation programs for new hires

  • Upkeep of information in employee database, and proper filing of documents in p-files

  • Handle full employment cycle experience ranging from on boarding to exit of employment

Training & Development

  • Assist in learning need analysis and map out training plans for individual employees

  • Sourcing of training vendors and suppliers

  • Implementation and administration of all training programs in the plan

  • Liaise with various Tertiary institutions on Industrial Attachment Programs

  • Handle various training grants such as HRDF

  • Monitor, measure and review the effectiveness of training activities including taking charge of the pre and post training evaluations

  • Updating and maintenance of training records

  • Assist in compilation of training statistics and reports whenever is needed

Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title, at the CR Director’s discretion.

Pre-requisitions:

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification

  • Highly computer literate in Microsoft Suite and HR software programs including HRIS

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in colleague resources or HR role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment

  • Self motivator and able to motivate others

  • Diplomatic when faced with issues

  • “Roll up sleeves” attitude getting involved directly in the workload.
