Job Description Summary

To further our commitment, EHS Asia leader role will play a critical role in defining, implementing, and leading our regional health and safety strategy based on local and GE Vernova global policies. This position requires a leader with a deep understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in various environments, including manufacturing, field services, and general office settings. The EHS Asia Leader will ensure that our operations across the region and across the functions adhere to the highest standards of health and safety, minimizing risks and fostering a culture of safety and well-being.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive global health and safety program that aligns with our organizational goals and complies with local and international standards.

  • Work with the Asia leadership team and their respective functions across various geographical locations, ensuring consistent practices and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits across all operational areas, including manufacturing plants, field services, and office environments, to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.

  • Collaborate with other GE Vernova business' and other Power Conversion regions, leveraging shared practices to integrate health and safety considerations into all aspects of our business processes.

  • Develop and deliver training programs that enhance safety awareness among employees and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Manage incident investigations, reporting, and analysis to prevent future occurrences and continuously improve safety measures.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and drive accountability across the organization.

  • Stay abreast of emerging health and safety trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure our practices remain at the forefront of the industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a multinational organization.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to manufacturing, field services, and office operations.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health and safety programs across a large, diverse organization.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams across different cultures and geographies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
