The IT Infrastructure Systems Administration team focuses on Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance of IT systems Software and Hardware for multi-user server computers and personal computing devices of ConvaTec employees:

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation and ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Windows and VMware infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS and VMware related incidents and problems according to customer processes

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS and VMware related service problems as part of problem management

  • Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution

  • Support Windows Server based systems, system software, clustering software and system management agents

  • Monitor and analyze the capacity and performance of storage and virtualization systems

  • Assist in analysing historical usage for tracking and trending by CPU, memory, I/O and storage

  • Review event logs on a regular basis based on business requirements

  • Maintenance of physical and virtual servers (VMware), storage devices, storage network

  • Maintenance and management of the server´s backups solution (Veeam)

  • Evaluate and review patches, before and after installation

  • Writing/updating technical design, build and process documentation

  • Work with change requests & incident monitoring system (ServiceNow)

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Curious, have a good aptitude for learning and enjoy variety, with plenty of opportunities to work with a variety of technologies and systems

  • Very strong knowledge of server virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V or Nutanix

  • Ability to work as part of an international team, as well as being part of a local market team

  • Knowledge in Ansible is desirable

  • Strong sense of ownership and customer-focused mindset

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal
