Splunk Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack Python + React) in Krakow, Poland

Role:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Development team. Our area of expertise encompasses building a wide variety of support tools for other developers to use in their respective Splunk stacks. We, as engineers, create the building blocks and/or environments for other engineers to implement and use. Your contributions will create a robust, adaptable and advanced user friendly development experience. Enrich and empower others to their fullest potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation and delivery of long-term impact software in accordance with given requirements and existing system architecture.

  • Maintain existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.

  • Work closely with product management, and architects and the team to build exciting features, reusable components and products.

  • Create, enhance and encourage robust test suites for all code, because you recognize the value of automated testing and continuous integration.

  • Integrate metrics and service level indicators into features you build so that you can monitor, improve, and scale out services horizontally.

  • Lead code reviews of the product, and use your knowledge of customer experiences to dedicatedly prevent future problems.

  • Follow SDLC process in Agile methodology.

Requirements:

  • Professional software engineering experience, including large-scale SaaS application development.

  • Overall full-stack software development engineer.

  • Solid understanding of:

  • React

  • Javascript

  • At least one backend technology (Python, Java, Go, etc…)

  • Nice to have:

  • NextJS and TypeScript

  • Go experience

  • AWS or Azure experience

  • Terraform experience

  • Docker and Kubernetes experience

  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Comfortable with tuning application performance and engineering for scalability.

  • Proficient in writing tests spanning from unit to end-to-end (E2E).

  • Understanding what it means to craft software that is a part of larger microservice architecture.

  • Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.

Base Pay Range

Poland

Base Pay: PLN 248,000.00 - 341,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
