FleishmanHillard, a leading global communications agency, has an immediate opening for a hands-on, self-starting Senior Strategic Planner / Planning Director to join our teams. The role can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong . This position provides a fantastic opportunity for an organized and seasoned professional with a strong passion for communications to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams on corporate positioning and reputation, crisis situations, issues management, executive positioning, and high-level media relations for our global clients.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of strategic planning initiatives to form compelling plans and proposals that converge all aspects and capabilities of our agency group and beyond (3rd parties).

  • Work with client counselors to develop integrated, multi-platform marketing campaigns and communications strategies in response to clients’ briefs. Ensure strategies are seamlessly integrated across all aspects of the campaign and aligned with the business objectives of clients.

  • Able to effectively communicate strategic plans and insights to internal client counselors and external key stakeholders. Use advanced data analytics to interpret data, turn data into actions, and carefully measure anticipated outcomes.

  • Act as a strategic partner to clients, understanding their business challenges, and Responsible for providing insight-based strategic POV of the agency’s offerings to clients.

  • Apply research findings to form creative concepts and communications strategies that help clients uncover business opportunities and optimize performance.

  • A key contributor to driving growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English in day-to-day business communication.

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of business experience, and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in integrated campaign planning and strategy, market research, or a similar role within an agency or consulting environment.

  • Experience in the Automotive and/or Consumer Technology industries is a plus.

  • Proven track record in helping brands to achieve successful integrated, multi-platform marketing campaigns.

  • Hands-on developing and executing strategic plans that have led to measurable business impact.

  • Understand various research tools available and their applications to bring information and insights for data-driven deliverables.

  • Work closely with the internal research and analytics team to uncover deeper insights to determine audiences and feasible approaches.

  • Strong familiarity with market research tools and methodologies.

  • Deep understanding of the Japanese market and multicultural markets and the ability to craft strategies that effectively engage diverse audiences.

  • Must be prepared and able to operate with a global lens.

  • University degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business, or related fields.

  • Energetic, self-starter, and resourceful problem solver.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
