Job Description

Location: India-Kolkata-Remote (Jharsuguda or Raipur)

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Commissioning: Installation and commissioning of analytical instruments like Optical Emission Spectrometer, X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer, and SMS-Automation Systems in Metal, Mining, and Cement industries.

  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Perform flawless preventive and corrective maintenance of these instruments. This includes inspection, fault finding, and repairing or replacing parts.

  • Technical Reporting: Generate detailed technical reports, covering Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and maintenance checklists. Determine material requirements and provide recommendations. Notify the technical support team of significant issues or advanced situations and provide comprehensive operation and maintenance training to customers.

  • Service Call Management: Utilize our Service-Call-Management system to maintain various service delivery important metrics. Your objective will be to ensure customer happiness through quality service delivery, fulfilling customer requirements, and measuring success through the Customer Allegiance Score (CAS).

  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to customer safety, process, and compliance requirements to ensure the successful execution of service activities.

  • Customer Interaction: Engage in discussions with customers to understand their requirements and communicate these to the functional team to successfully implement solutions.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic-Instrumentation, Instrumentation-Control, Electronics-Communication, Electrical-Electronics, or Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 5-6 years’ experience in field service engineering, specifically with analytical instruments - OES, XRF, XRD, ICP, Chromatography, OES or XRF with Robotic Automation and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a collaborative approach with internal team and customer.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Optical Emission Spectrometer, X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer, and SMS-Automation Systems is preferred.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
