BorgWarner Inc. Sr. Software Engineer in Kokomo Technical Center, Indiana

TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA), Inc. seeks a Sr. Software Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.

Design/development of embedded software for automotive controllers in accordance with Automotive SPICE development process; Work directly with customer to perform software requirements analysis; Work with systems and hardware engineers to ensure software achieves overall system requirements; Perform electrical schematic reviews and provide feedback to hardware engineers; Develop software design documentation and review with customer; Develop C code and/or software models as needed for design/coding process; Use AUTOSAR tools to configure MCAL, generate BSW and RTE software; Work with test competencies to resolve reported software issues; and Perform functional testing on target hardware, generate unit test reports, and develop automated regression testing for software releases.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and three years of experience in job offered or related in embedded software development. Experience must include: Experience working with electrical schematic diagrams; experience using microprocessor software development methods, including Integrated Development Environments, and target-based debuggers; experience using generic test equipment, including oscilloscopes; and experience using Engine Management Systems and diagnostics.
