Insight Global Travel Construction Project Manager in Kokomo, Indiana

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a construction project manager to join a global power solutions client. This project manager will be travelling to select locations to conduct scheduled outages for the battery plants. The project manager will be responsible for overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, control, and job closure activities.

* Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews.

* Utilize necessary project management tools, software, and other resources to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables on site.

* Own coordination of project meetings (internal and external) and formal communication plans to key project stakeholders.

* Determine mechanisms required for successful job closeout (punch lists / issue resolution, internal warranty, transition to owner or other entity).

* Serve as primary customer and site contact throughout duration of EESS activities on site.

* Collaborate with DOC team to communicate any safety program initiatives, concerns, or oversights to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders.

* Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation.

* Work closely with commercial operations teams, including North American Sales (NAS) Project Management Organization, sales engineers, and EESS Technical Application Support (TAS) organization to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines.

* Implement and cascade requirements associated with any program level initiatives or changes from technical program managers within the Strategic Operations organization.

Skills and Requirements

* High School Diploma/G.E.D. or higher

* 3 + years of experience as a PM leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects

* Experience using MS Project for scheduling

* Experience working with MS Excel

* Experience working with power distribution in a construction setting

* Valid and unrestricted driver's license * GREAT comm skills to effectively work with customers on job site

* ability to work with a team of 12< field engineers on-site null
