Global Product Manager - Suites, Collaborators, CMF

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Onsite/Hybrid work model at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Kohler Co. is looking for an individual with exceptional problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, design and excellent collaboration skills. The Global Product Manager- Suites/Collaborators/CMF (colors, materials, finishes) is responsible for driving cross-category growth, innovation, and vitality on a global scale. This role involves scoping global projects based on category needs and working closely with regional category teams. The Global Product Manager – Suites/Collabs/CMF will be responsible for the global CMF roadmap and regional alignment and must demonstrate the ability to lead marketing for Global NPD projects and work closely with various teams on execution.

  • Possess substantial skills in written and oral communication with all levels of Management and with outside contacts.

  • Demonstrate ability to gather global trends, competitive moves, regional business requirements, channel needs per region etc to string together a robust scope.

  • Must demonstrate ability to be the marketing lead for Global NPD and work closely with the program manager, regional category teams, ID & engineering on all projects.

  • Should be able to build strong connections with global marketing, engineering, manufacturing, ID, legal, global finance and local marketing teams to be able to create a synchronized efficient & effective global NPS

  • Should be able to represent the needs of the rest of the world, when one Region takes the lead role on a project. Ability to act as a global consultant for region led projects.

  • Should be comfortable using existing databases to take out information on a regular basis and create standard dashboards for reporting key category performance indicators.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Create the Global NPS for Suites/Collabs/CMF along with the regions and gain alignment from leadership.

  • Understand each market strategy plan for the category, the key consumer & channel needs per market, the key competition and derive possible areas of collaboration across regions driving efficiency globally.

  • Call out critical portfolio gaps and create project scopes for kick off.

  • Maintain continuous awareness of competitive products, KOHLER global portfolio, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc. for the purpose of recommending product continuance or modifications, market potential, etc.

  • Maintain continuous contact with design groups, regional teams, global engineering, and all other internal and external sources which can contribute to the development of new product ideas to satisfy market needs, drive business growth, and increase profit.

  • Develop business cases for each project to be able to prioritize and focus on high impact ones with greater urgency.

Marketing Lead for Global NPD projects

  • Be the marketing Lead for Global NPD projects. Provide the larger business context to the core project teams to have better alignment to the strategy

  • Represent the business strategy & financials during CR / DR . Talking through the consumer story and market need justifying the significance of the project.

  • Own the ACT of the global project working with other functions.

  • Consultant on other Multi regional projects led by a region

  • Be the consultant for rest of the world when working with one region leading a project.

  • Make the necessary connections & coordination needed to bring teams together to ensure all requirements are captured

  • Have an in depth understanding of US, China, India and APAC to be able to join the dots thus preventing duplication of efforts/ resources and driving synergies.

  • Product management lead for collab strategy with marketing and how it integrates into product road maps

Drive CMF Leadership

  • Collaborate with design on color, material and finish trends

  • Develop strategic road map of global CMF projects with alignment with the region on customer needs

  • Drive category innovation & strategy discussions as and when necessary.

  • High Awareness of regional product ideas, development and launch activities

  • Comfort with financial analysis and interpretations of what’s happening.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management or related field required.

  • MBA/MS preferred.

  • Proficient with English language.

  • 4-6 years prior experience in Sales, Product Marketing, Channel Management, with min 2 years in Product Development.

  • Experience in Strategy preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability and a track record of results.

  • Approximately 25% travel

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $107,650 - $137,150. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
