Kohler Co.’s award winning creative collective is seeking a dynamic and experienced copywriter to join

the growing team. This passionate writer will execute creative primarily for Kohler’s hospitality portfolio, which consists of an exciting and expanding group of businesses, including but not limited to:

LODGING: The American Club, Lodge Kohler, Inn on Woodlake

GOLF: Whistling Straits, Blackwolf Run

WELLNESS: Kohler Waters Spa, Yoga on the Lake, Bold Cycle

CULINARY: The Immigrant Room, The Wisconsin Room, Taverne on Woodlake

LOCAL: Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates, The Shops at Woodlake

EVENTS: Kohler Food & Wine, Frozen Fairways, Wine Pairing dinners, Artist Collaborations, and more

You will collaborate with designers, art directors, the photo studio, other copywriters, and business partners to help creatively fulfill cross-channel deliverables. Reporting to the hospitality team’s ACD, your words, creativity, and bold thinking will provide an elevated voice and ensure the continued evolution of the brands.

Specific Responsibilities

  • While a collaborative approach is key, the following cover the main responsibilities:

  • Develop fresh content that engages and delights customers; write inspiring and sophisticated copy while retaining a sense of warmth.

  • Follow and champion brand voice guidelines across multiple owned channels.

  • Craft 360-degree campaigns with a strategic POV.

  • Flex across various print and digital projects (emails, print collateral, social media, paid digital, video storyboards, scripts, OOH and more).

  • Stay up to date on best practices; understand the nuances of paid & organic platforms.

  • Collaborate with other team members with a positive and encouraging energy.

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with grace.

  • Present clearly, take feedback gracefully, move forward.

  • Approach creative with a poetic spirit and a lively, journalistic mindset.

  • Attend events, interact with guests, and conduct interviews in an approachable and professional manner.

  • Occasional travel required.

Skills/Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in advertising or an idea-led in-house agency.

  • Hospitality and luxury brand experience is a huge plus. If not applicable, must have passion for the aforementioned.

  • A portfolio which demonstrates creative abilities, innovative thinking, craftsmanship, cultural awareness, and voice.

  • Multi-channel / 360-degree campaign experience required.

  • Solution-oriented, nimble problem solver, kind collaborator.

  • Understands the importance of details.

  • Clear and confident presenter, active listener.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $76,050 - $96,050. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
