Group Summary

About the Role

The MRO Buyer is responsible to achieve desired goods according to Magna targeted cost, time and quality with the suppliers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing the entire sourcing process starting with supplier selection and approval, sample order, parts approval and finally production,

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned products,

  • Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested material/product/service,

  • Identify alternative low cost solutions,

  • Gather RFQ documentation from Project Management allowing suppliers to provide accurate quotations and to build to specifications,

  • Work with cross-discipline teams to both qualify and regularly audit suppliers,

  • Track cost trends of raw materials to properly control purchasing costs,

  • Coordinate products/project sourcing activities,

  • Ability to source product and materials according to drawing specifications and project requirements,

  • Responsible for technical and CAPEX investments,

  • Lead cost reduction and localization activities,

  • Support make or buy study in order to achieve the most feasible and profitable strategy.

Who we are looking for

  • Graduation from related departments of the universities,

  • At least 2 years of experience in Purchasing in the automotive sector indirect purchasing experience,

  • Good level of English (reading, writing, speaking),

  • No restrictions on domestic and international travel,

  • Good negotiation and communication skills,

  • Self-motivation and high sense of responsibility,

  • High analytical thinking and reporting skills,

  • Good knowledge of MS office programs,

  • Have SAP knowledge.
