TEKsystems Project Manager in Knoxville, Tennessee

Description:

Essential Functions

  1. Align project intake and prioritization with business stakeholders

  2. Guide initiatives through IT Governance processes such as contracts, requests for proposal, and review boards

  3. Create and maintain project deliverables including charters, resource plans, schedules, budgets, and status updates

  4. Lead business discovery sessions to define scope and requirements

  5. Align with project team, business partners, leadership, and the PMO to manage delivery roadmaps, effort estimates, and shared resources availability

  6. Estimate budgets and track/report project costs

  7. Manage project resources and vendor relationships to ensure optimal throughput

  8. Deliver business value through project/program execution

  9. Gather, summarize, and communicate project metrics and updates to various organization levels such as executive, PMO, IT, and business leadership

  10. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks (i.e., financial, cross-functional, performance, and external)

  11. Own adherence to legal, privacy, compliance, data governance, and brand policies

  12. Coordinate project deployment including support transition and organizational change management (OCM) plans

  13. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

  14. Complete other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  1. 8+ years of PM experience and has worked with many different work streams and departments, mainly in the HR department

  2. Experience supporting HR projects relating to areas such as, talent acquisition, HR Shared services, payroll, etc..

  3. Experience working in an agile environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree in business management, information technology, or related field required

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, information technology, or related field preferred

• Minimum five years’ project management or general management experience required

• Minimum three years’ project management office (PMO) experience required

• Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

• Project Management Institute Agile Certified Professional (ACP) Certification preferred

This person will need to sit onsite in Knoxville, TN. This position starts off as a 6 month contract and have opportunity to extend. Must be able to work on W2.
