Job Information

TINDELL'S, INC General Laborer - Lumber/Beam Sawyer in Knoxville, Tennessee

Pay = $16-17/hr depending on experience.

BASIC FUNCTION: Converts raw engineered wood product materials into finished goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in preparing all EWP orders so they are completed on time and ready to be loaded.

Cut all necessary items based upon the cutting tickets provided by the EWP Coordinator.

Mark all Items with their ID so the customer knows where they belong.

Maintain organized EWP Inventory on racks.

Make sure that all cutoff pieces are properly marked by length and placed back on racks.

Utilize small cut off items as much as possible

Restock all returned EWP material, that EWP coordinator and or material manager issues.

Maintain cleanliness of EWP work area

Perform duties of Chainsaw operator and/or helper as needed

Unload trucks of raw materials with forklift and place in appropriate location

Verify all items are received according to the ticket

Assist in loading trucks of EWP and Trusses to be delivered to the jobsite.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work outside in extreme heat and cold up to 100% of the time.

Work in areas with high noise levels.

Work in dusty conditions.

Wear required safety protection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Stand on feet for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more daily.

Lift 75lbs and carry 25lbs on a regular basis

Trunk rotation with 20lbs at arm's length 180 degrees side to side

Good hand/eye coordination to operate computer, saws, and powered equipment

Perform repetitive motions using wrist, hands, and fingers.
