Shoffner Acquisition Corp Construction Helper in Knoxville, Tennessee

ShoffnerKalthoff, MES is looking for Helpers to join our team in Knoxville. You’ll create with your hands, working outdoors in different environments, and tell your family and friends “I helped build that”.

This is the first step in your Construction career.

Military Veterans are encouraged to apply! Your main Tasks:
  • Be safe! Safety is our #1 priority.

  • Learn how to operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed.

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal and or plumbing components under supervision of a skilled tradesman.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Load and unload Sheetmetal or Plumbing supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions.

  • Safely climb ladders and operate lifts to reach installation points.

  • Learn and develop your skills in the Commercial Construction Industry.

    Experience or Certification needed:

  • No experience required.

  • Valid driver's license

  • You may be eligible for the in-house, DOL/NCCER certified Apprenticeship program.

    You need to be able to:

  • Be punctual and reliable. Excellent attendance is required to be successful.

  • Work in heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.

  • Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.

  • Work efficiently in confined spaces.

  • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.

  • Reliable transportation. You’re responsible for getting to and from the jobsite.
