County of Armstrong Department Clerk II - Full-Time - Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts in KITTANNING, Pennsylvania

Overall Responsibilities:  

To perform specialized clerical duties and responsibilities within the assigned department.  Duties include but are not limited to:  Assists attorneys and customers at counter with a variety of department needs including but not limited to researching judgments, liens and civil cases. Performs routine accounts receivable functions. Enters and maintains civil and criminal case database. Prepares and distributes copies of documents as directed. Performs general clerical duties such as data entry, copying, proofreading and printing. Operates and maintains typewriter, computer, and other office equipment. Prepares and processes required department forms and reports.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:  High school diploma or equivalent, plus some computer and bookkeeping skills required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:  1-2 years working experience in office environment, county government, court system, or any acceptable combination of training and experience.
