DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Casework Supervisor, you will oversee the caseworkers who provide services to ensure the safety and welfare of neglected and abused children and youth in our county. In this position, you will train and supervise caseworkers who are engaged in the provision of a variety of services by planning the administrative aspects of the work such as the assignment of cases, districting, and monitoring the work flow. Through individual and group conferences, you will develop the caseworkers' efficiency and skill in determining the provision of services within established policy.

Additionally, you will review and analyze case records to determine the quality of services rendered; evaluate the effectiveness of agency services and contracted service providers; collaborate with other agencies and provide information about the program to the community, including presentations which explain and advance the agency's child protection mission; participate in management team meetings, fostering an atmosphere of mutual trust, respect, and dedication to the mission of the agency; and utilize a variety of software programs for case management and for the preparation of certain reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Flexibility in work schedule is often required since appointments may be outside of the standard Monday through Friday workday of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. that can include weekends. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, Jefferson, or Westmoreland counties.
