Position Summary 

Miovision is building cutting-edge hardware to bring traffic infrastructure into the 21st century. Our hardware supports a revolutionary way to monitor and administer traffic networks from anywhere. We’re looking for a driven Hardware Development Support Manager with electronics manufacturing experience to support us across all stages of product development. The candidate will work within the hardware team and report directly to the Hardware Design Manager - Mechanical.

Key Accountabilities 

Program Management

  • Manage in-life product updates (support ECO creation, plan out implementation details with manufacturing and supply chain teams, validate ECO implemented as intended, etc.)

  • Support NPI programs with internal and external design & manufacturing teams

  • Ensure schedules are aligned and maintained

  • Develop program budgets, monitor & report on program spending

  • Liaise between internal teams and outside design firms & manufacturers

  • Support scoping and formalizing SOWs

Configuration Management

  • Own and maintain the Product Lifecycle Management of Miovision hardware products

  • Increase automation between the Design, PLM, and ERP systems to reduce administrative overhead on the Hardware Design and Operations Teams

  • Drive efficiencies in our Configuration Management process (BOMs, ECOs, etc) by revamping existing processes and driving automated solutions

QA/Certification and Compliance Support

  • Test case management (Jira) and automation

  • Internal test reporting system

  • External compliance and certification lab management

  • APL/Compliance Logistics (POs and documentation between governing bodies)

Hardware Design Team Support

  • Internal Process Development - Knowledge sharing

  • Support drafting installation & troubleshooting guides

  • Product design related support

  • Standardizing and automate design processes

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end design and manufacturing process for electronics hardware manufacturing.

  • At least 10 years relevant hardware design PLM experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant program management experience in an electronics manufacturing industry.

  • Working in a cross functional Hardware Design Team to deliver quality products.

  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts, components, assemblies.

  • Experience with PLM tools; preferably Arena PLM.

  • The ability to look at a problem from a holistic point of view, to understand and anticipate the downstream impacts and to propose alternative paths which mitigate these risks.

  • The ability to be a self-starter, to anticipate what needs to be done next, and to prioritize accordingly.

  • A drive to challenge the status quo and push for more efficient methods in the way we work.
