FirstService Residential Accounts Payable Specialist in Kissimmee, Florida

Job Overview:

As an Accounts Payable, you’ll be responsible forsupporting the accounting workflow of the Food and Beverage, Golf Shop Operations, Golf Maintenance and Homeowner Association accounts payable activity.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coding invoices in accounts payable system.
  • Create manual invoices
  • Analyze bank statements weekly to ensure all invoices are processed in accounts payable system.
  • Assist with monthly management report.
  • Data management for month end financial report and coordination with general ledger team.
  • Manager Purchase Card (P-Card) reconciliation.
  • Monthly petty cash reconciliation.
  • Sales cash deposit recording.
  • Set up new vendors.
  • Prepare credit applications.
  • Prepare and present open payables weekly report for payment processing.
  • Vendor management.
  • Daily sales report from POS system.
  • Submitting invoices in accounts payable system.
  • Manage lifestyle and event invoice processing SOP.
  • Other projects that may be assigned by supervising manager, general manager or regional director.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with concentration in accounting business or marketing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess strong administrative background
  • Must have strong editing and proofreading abilities
  • Microsoft office and publisher knowledge and ability to create and edit documents
  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to prioritize work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, office management and communications skills
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be tech and web savvy and able to navigate back office programs
  • Intermediated proficiency in Microsoft Windows software

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands include ability to lift up to 10 lbs
  • Standing, sitting, walking and occasional climbing
  • Required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Talking on the phone for extended periods of time
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms
  • Ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekend, and attend events as required

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. Compensation: $21.00- $25.00 per hour
