Job Title: Staff Electrical Engineer

Job Type: Contract (12 months, likely to extend)

Location: Kirkland, WA

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 4x9 hour days Monday - Thursday, and 4 hours on Fridays

Pay Rate: $58.66 - $68.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Preferred Skills:

Need for power conversion experience, as a critical need is to help out the team working on finishing/qualifying the eVTOL DCDC converters. Hardware troubleshooting skills (hands on) is also very beneficial.

JOB SUMMARY:

The overriding business objective for the Sr./Staff Electrical Engineer will be to help grow our client as a world-recognized leader in aircraft electrical power generation systems for small to mid-sized business jets, UAV’s and rotorcraft.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop electrical circuits based on functional requirements

-Participate in the development of design documentation

-Perform electrical simulation of electrical circuits

-Work with technical team to achieve product certification

-Troubleshoot development hardware failures and develop corrective design changes

-Research and select circuit components based on performance, cost, and availability

-Work with technician staff to support hardware performance testing

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

-Ability to design/troubleshoot power conversion circuits

-Ability to design analog and digital circuits for power electronics products

-Ability to use circuit simulation tools to inform a design approach

-Skill to perform initial hardware functional testing

-Ability to create design process documents to support RTCA DO-254 compliance

-Ability to develop reliable products for an aircraft environment (temperature, EMI, ...)

-Ability to present technical presentations to internal and external groups

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required

Experience:

-Demonstrates proficiency (typically five (5) to seven (7) years of direct experience) with the above duties and responsibilities for consideration as Sr. Electrical Engineer.

-Demonstrates expertise (typically eight (8) or more years of direct experience) with the above duties and responsibilities for consideration as Staff Electrical Engineer.

EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

-As a US Department of Defense Contractor, bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

-An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing pre-employment background check and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.

Pay Details: $58.66 to $68.00 per hour
