Position Summary PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which serves Kenworth and Peterbilt, has an opening for an Application Software Engineer in the Autonomous Vehicle Program team. This team is seeking to develop multiple new features to support the creation of a safe and reliable autonomous-enabled truck. Successful candidates for this role will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver critical program goals across multiple functionalities and continue to enhance PACCAR's global functional and system development processes. Job Functions / Responsibilities Define the embedded system specifications, performance targets, and system interfaces. Strong embedded systems knowledge and hands-on experience in memory management strategies. Hands-on experience with software development tools (Matlab/Simulink) Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python, and experience with embedded software development. Experience with version control tools (SVN/GIT) Develop high-level software architectures for embedded applications, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and modularity.
