Job Functions / Responsibilities The goal of the program management internship is to provide the successful candidate with professional experience executing a variety of deliverables within the Program Management Office (PMO) in a Fortune 500 company setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of deliverables that cover the five phases of the PMBOK project management lifecycle over the 10- to 12-week internship. Activities and deliverables may include: Leading various project management activities within larger vehicle and powertrain programs in support of the Program Managers that are leading them. Documenting user stories, ensuring stakeholders perform testing, providing consolidated test feedback to vendor(s), and documenting program management workflows as part of the Project Online toolchain currently under development within the PMO. Documenting current project- and program-related processes and templates, peer reviewing them, and releasing them in the Kenworth Quality Manual or PACCAR Corporate Specifications with a focus on continuous improvement. Performs other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will work with product planning, engineering, information technology, manufacturing, and testing functions within Kenworth, as well as other PACCAR divisions, to deliver on internship goals. The successful candidate will report to a program managerwithin the department and will have direct access to the Director of Program Management at Kenworth.
