Job Functions / Responsibilities Participate in the design and development of heavy-duty truck powertrain Cooling Systems and their sub-components. Manage projects from start to finish, with a focus on performance, reliability and cost. Work in a fast-paced team environment to achieve common PACCAR Inc. goals for Vehicle Uptime and Engineering Excellence. Complete work related to ongoing vehicle production including: Requests for Engineering Information (REI), Custom Option Requests (OAR), Plant Liaison Requests (PLR) and field service issue resolution. Work in a cross-divisional and international team to define, verify and validate functional design requirements. Work with Program Management to complete Product Creation Process (PCP) deliverables. Utilize CAD software to design and optimize complex parts and assemblies and their manufacturing. Lead quality and innovation initiatives by staying up-to-date to industry trends and advanced technologies. Qualifications & Skills BSME or equivalent required. 3-5 years of relevant experience is required; interest in heavy/medium-duty truck or passenger car experience is highly desired Proficiency in the use of CAD software. Pro/E or Creo Parametrics preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality, results-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong motivation to learn about heavy duty powertrain concepts, including advanced technologies related to thermal management. High competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
