This role is responsible for vehicle or powertrain electrical/electronic component subsystem design, and electrical integration into heavy and medium duty vehicles. Job Functions / Responsibilities Design, integration, and release of electrical and electronic components and systems for heavy and medium duty commercial truck vehicles. Integrate and release embedded electronics hardware for vehicle and drive line controls Complete engineering change notice documentation to manage old and new parts and use proprietarysoftware to issue part bid requests. Lead electronics engineering requirements specification and project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, scope, and functionality. Work with and lead heavy truck OEM engineering supplier relationships with tier 1 and 2 suppliers. Plan and track validation of components. Support launch at truck assembly plants as needed and resolve field issues as identified. Ensure industry-leading quality and reliability are met/maintained/exceeded on all components. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and otherprofessionals to ensure quality heavy-duty truck electrical designs. Demonstrated planning, budgeting, and organizational skills Demonstrated teamwork, mentoring, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills.
