Duties: The Director, Engineering Machine Learning at GoDaddy.com, LLC in Kirkland, Washington will lead design and development of Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure that performs automated data retrieval, feature extraction, model training, and deployment at scale. Build and maintain an ML feature store for use across GoDaddy. Partner with teams on applications that require ML solutions. Design and implement improvements to our batch and real-time data streams that feed feature store. Collaborate on a high-impact, mission-driven Scrum team. Participate in DevOps, release, and on-call activities in support of code. Contribute to technology working groups and internal open source. Utilize proficiency in modern programming languages, including Python, Java, Scala, and SQL. Build highly available distributed systems leveraging cloud technologies, utilizing Cloud and AWS technologies, including Sagemaker, Glue, EMR, EC2, RDS, Cloudformation, and S3. Perform large-scale data processing with PySpark, Spark, and Hive compatible Data Catalog. Perform software design of big-data solutions. Utilize knowledge of applied ML and A/B testing platforms. Work within an Agile software development environment. Mentor and lead team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize key initiatives that leverage machine learning. May telecommute up to 3 days per week. GoDaddy's compensation may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The annual base salary range is $200,158-$289,800 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a software development engineer or related occupation. Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) design and development of software applications, tools, systems, and services using Java and Object-Oriented Design; (2) Python, Scala and SQL; (3) Spark; (4) designing real-time distributed systems; (5) data processing and modeling at scale; (6) AWS; (7) agile software process; and (8) mentoring junior development engineers.
