Position Summary PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which serves both Kenworth and Peterbilt, has an opening for a Control System Architect focus on Fuel Cell Integration.The successful candidate will be leading efforts on cutting edge technologies from the embedded world in view of establishing the impact and integration of functions on the associated electronic hardware, base software, and application software. The ideal candidate will need to be able to create specifications that allow engineers to deliver Electronic and Software component subsystem designs in order to support the control system development and integration into commercial vehicles and continue to enhance PACCAR's global embedded functionality and system development growth. Job Functions / Responsibilities Introduce design decisions regarding controller states, signals, and boundaries at a control system level that will serve as the interface between electrical harnesses, electronic components, vendor base software, and embedded application software Communicate control system functionality to upstream and downstream stakeholders Follow project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, and functionality Support launch at truck assembly plants as needed and resolve field issues as identified Ensure industry-leading quality and reliability are met, maintained, and exceeded on all components Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other professionals to ensure quality commercial vehicle electrical designs Investigate and resolve warranty issues Up to 15% travel Qualifications & Skills B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree required Experienceindesign & release of automotive or commercial vehicle electrical components, including software, wire harnesses, electronic controls, switches, and/or driver input devices Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, collaborative team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
