Summary:
Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat a variety of diagnoses on our Acute medical floors including the Critical Care Unit and our 17 bed Inpatient Rehab Facility. Those diagnoses include orthopedics, neurological, amputations as well as many others. We have a strong and experienced staff so new graduates are certainly welcome. We will support you in gaining knowledge and experience towards developing new clinical skills. We will work with you on a flexible work schedule from 32-40 hours per week.
The Staff Physical Therapists provides patient care assessment and treatment. Identify, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease/ prevent deformity. Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
- None.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
- Current NC Board of Physical Therapy license or eligible.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
