22nd Century Technologies, Inc Psychology Assistant / Youth Specialist in Kinsman, Ohio

Duration: 12+ Months Hours/Week: 25 Roles and Responsibilities: Provide psychology services to youth. This may involve, but is not limited to formal psychological evaluations, psychological testing, and other such practices of psychology reflective of the standard of care in that profession. Provide psychological treatment to youth based on their needs and presenting difficulties. Treatment should be delivered in the structure and content of expected practices in psychology reflective of the standard of care of that profession. Assisting in the leadership and clinical oversight of interdisciplinary treatment teams. Provide psychological services in accordance with ODYS policies, procedures and directives. This involves the development and maintenance of appropriate records documenting services being provided to youth. This also involves conducting risk assessments, observations and treatment of youth displaying or presenting with severe behavioral and safety concerns. Participate as directed and expected in a variety of supportive activities such as interdisciplinary treatment teams, psychology/psychiatry staff meetings, interventional hearings, clinical staffing and other facility and ODYS agency endeavors. Coordinate treatment efforts with all appropriate staff and discipline involved with youth care. Maintain client information in a secure and confidential manner consistent with department and local procedures, as well as guidelines set by the State Board of Psychology and the Ohio Revised Code. Maintaining an individual therapy caseload; Providing group therapy; Completing intake and mental status assessments Completing risk assessments; Providing crisis intervention; Conducting Psychological Evaluations; Interdisciplinary case consultation; Attendance at identified meetings such as interdisciplinary, clinical team, psychology/psychiatry staff meetings, and mandatory trainings; Completion of indirect services and documentation which shall include but is not limited to: Completion of entries on mental health database; Clinical Contact Notes; Consultation notes; Family Contact notes; Suicide Prevention Information; Psychological Services Summary Reports; Psychological Evaluation Reports; Treatment Plans; Diagnostic Information; Monthly Report; Special Management Plans. Maintenance of client information in a secure and confidential manner consistent with department and local procedures, as well as guidelines set by the State Board of Psychology and the Ohio Revised Code. Preferred Experience: Experience in working with adolescent and/or juvenile offender populations is preferred.
