Description

Texas A&M University's Irma Lerma Rangel School of Pharmacy invite applications for a part-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, at the Kingsville, TX, campus with an 11-month academic appointment. The position is available immediately.

The position requires teaching to the Department/School, the profession, and the public. The position provides opportunities for an individual with a strong commitment to an academic career emphasizing innovative educational, service, and scholarly activities. The academic responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, education to students and residents.

The candidate will be expected to teach in the sterile compounding course and laboratory at the School of Pharmacy. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in all phases of sterile and non-sterile compounding including aseptic compounding techniques for both horizontal and vertical laminar flow hoods, workflow, regulatory process, standard operating procedures, USP 800, 797 and 795 compliances. The position requires occasional travel.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a PharmD or other professional pharmacy degree from an accredited college/pharmacy school in the US. The candidate must be licensed as a pharmacist in Texas or be eligible for licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
