Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Palmer Center is located in Kingston, and is very close to shopping and the Rhinecliff Bridge.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 40/Wednesday through Sunday - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

STARTING SALARY: $ 21.51 to $ 23.47 per hour, for working at this location (which includes a $2.00 per hour differential over the Palmer Full-Time DSP base salary range of $ 19.51 to $ 21.47), plus applicable shift differentials may be added.
