Description

The DSP in the "Day Hab Without Walls" program provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in small group settings within the community.

DSP should be energetic, compassionate and truly enjoy making a difference in the lives of the people supported. This independent, self-starter will take the initiative to make community connections for volunteer opportunities for the people we support.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/8:00 am to 4:00 pm

STARTING SALARY: $ 15.01 to $ 16.52 per hour

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License

  • Computer skills
