Waste Connections Sales Rep in Kings Mountain, North Carolina

Waste Connections is looking for an experienced Sales Rep to manage our Kings Mountain, NC location. We are looking for an innovative, creative and proactive individual capable of creating change and driving results.

Competitive Base Salary + Commissions!

Summary of Functions:

The Sales Rep matches prospect’s needs to Waste Connections services and aims to secure long-term partnerships by utilizing a consultative selling approach in the sale of waste solutions to large, complex accounts. The Sales Rep prospects and closes major accounts to achieve targeted sales goals. Develops and implements selling effective strategies that ensure revenue growth at target or greater profitability levels at the district level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a list of prospective accounts and key contacts.

  • Target large volume opportunities within designated geographic areas

  • Customer retention with existing client base

  • Present Service Solutions to C-Level management

  • Maintain and update CRM tools (Salesforce/ARES ) for future follow up

  • Maintain sales pipeline to achieve goals for new/gross sales monthly.

  • Use an in-depth industry and company knowledge to prepare complex proposals to existing and potential clients.

  • Make recommendations on equipment optimization and leasing options.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-4 years direct sales or business development experience with proven results

  • Experience with professional presentations and excellent written, verbal and listening skills

  • Experience in Business to Business selling, Contract Selling, and Sales Negotiation

  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM tools is a plus.

  • Good numeracy skills to estimate pricing and calculate margins.
