RQ Construction, LLC General Laborer Scaffold Erector in Kings Bay Base, Georgia

15.00-20.00 per hour Prevailing Wage | 1033 Uss Tennessee Avenue, Kings Bay Base, GA, USA | Hourly | Full Time

We are seeking Scaffolding Erector/ General Laborer candidates to join our team at Kings Bay, GA. This position is responsible for performing tasks that involve physical labor and erecting scaffold at a construction site using hand and power tools of all types. This position may also assist other craft workers in their duties, while also cleaning and preparing sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing other non-hazardous waste materials. In addition, this position may operate one or several types of power construction equipment. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction believes in the growth and development of our employees, so on the job training and certifications are provided per the projects needs for safety, equipment operations, etc. Prevailing wages will be paid for work performed on a military installation. $15-20PH. Qualifications are as follows:

  • A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.

  • One or more years of experience with scaffolding.

  • Two or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in commercial construction required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.

  • CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred; Specific training or certificates in the following preferred:

  • Forklift/Manlift training and certificate

  • Fall protection training

  • Scissor lift/boom lift certificate

  • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour

  • Trenching & Shoring training

  • Confined Space Training

  • Lockout/Tagout training

  • Manufacturer Certifications for each type of Scaffold used on project(s)

  • Per contract stipulations, access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only. Other work statuses cannot be considered for employment at this specific location.
