WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - LTE in KING, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Our LPNs provide quality, routine direct and indirect patient care on a unit. Duties include: assisting the Registered Nurse in making critical observations of clients and assisting in complex care situations; working directly with families; providing assistance in personal care; administering and documenting treatments and medication; participating in the maintenance of care unit; and working with an interdisciplinary team. Job Details These are flexible part-time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime. Shifts are available AM (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), PM (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), holidays and weekends, and include pay differentials. LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits. Job duties require the ability to move, reposition and transport patients, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, sit, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to provide documentation of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by date of hire.
