WISCONSIN DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Laundry Worker in KING, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Laundry Workers at King are responsible for cleaning laundry for members and operational units of the Veterans Home. Duties include but are not limited to sorting and folding laundry, loading and emptying laundry trucks, operating laundry-processing equipment, and maintaining a clean work area. All work is performed following standard safety principles and practices and the Home\'s standard operating procedures. Job Details Laundry Workers at King work a standard eight-hour shift Monday through Friday either 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., plus rotating weekends and holidays. Job duties include moving laundry carts, lifting and moving bags of laundry weighing up to 70 pounds, operating loud and/or shaking equipment, wearing personal protective equipment, and standing for prolonged periods. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information by their third day of employment.
