Independence Physician Management - IPM

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 12 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Position Summary:

The IPM Project Manager will provide management and supervision of initiatives led by the IPM Leadership team to ensure successful implementation. Coordinates project tasks, gathers necessary information, utilizes analytics tools and other resources to ensure timely completion of projects. Provides direction to the IPM Team during project implementations and ensures timely communication to stakeholders on key deadlines. Functions as a consultant on initiatives and provides solutions to maximize available resources. Works collaboratively with IPM Leadership as well as Regional and Market Directors to support IPM’s strategic growth and program development. The IPM Project Manager must be able to successfully communicate across a wide spectrum of audiences, lead change initiatives, have strong financial and organizational skills and be able to function effectively with multiple priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in project planning, execution, and activity monitoring.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of assigned projects and maintains management framework.

  • Maintains and analyzes project schedule and prepares regular status reports for management and key stakeholders.

  • Track project risks, opportunities, and issues to develop resulutions to meet quality and timeline goals and objectives.

  • Effectively communicates project expectations to all team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion while maintaining weekly reporting on project status.

  • Conducts post-project analyses and creates recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems, analysis, and procedures with ability to work with end users to determine requirements, specifications and process improvement workflows.

  • Working knowledge of computer systems and experience using Project Management platforms, Excel, and demonstrated proficiency in a variety of computer applications.

  • Working knowledge of project management tools and methods.

  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Change Management

    Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work through, influence and drive projects to realization of benefits.

  • Ability to foster team development and collaboration.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Comfortable and confident interacting with IPM Division and Market personnel at all levels.

  • Strong customer focus and ability to set and manage client expectations.

  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Proven excellence in communication and relationship management.
