Our King of Prussia PA based Enterprise Technology (eTech) Advanced Communications team, is looking for a motivated, Engineering & Technology First Line manager to join our high-profile Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and Contracted Research and Development (CRAD) teams focused on leading the design of Advanced Communications Solutions in support of our defense customers. Our project teams are focused on integrating various commercial communications capabilities and enhancing them to address unique military requirements through our Advanced Communications systems.

This position is responsible for managing efforts spanning network engineering, telecommunications (5G/NextG), application development, security and resilience, DevSecOps, and RF engineering, with our teams focus being to leverage all of these disciplines to improve our defense products. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The selected candidate will additionally provide technical coordination and execution on eTech Advanced Comms programs, bring experience in systems engineering, with ideally a background in wireless communication systems, network engineering, and defense applications. The role will involve working across various 5G research and development efforts, and may include working with industry partners to design and develop Lockheed Martin solutions based on the latest 5G equipment, and leveraging those solutions to support defense requirements. This role involves managing and leading engineering teams, interfacing with Line of Business program management, engineering project managers, engineering technical leads, development teams, and corporates engineering organizations. This includes coordinating/managing content across multiple teams focused on integration and test and communications engineering. Basic Qualifications:

• Experience coordinating work and personnel across multiple work locations and organizational structures

• A highly motivated individual able to form effective relationships within program, across the entire E&T organization, and with customer personnel

• Experience balancing multiple, competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high-temp environment. Ability to balance programmatic, functional, leadership, and technical tasks

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and programmatic issues to your team, peers, management and customers

• Experience modeling Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives, ownership and accountability

• Proven skills providing technical and administrative direction to other employees

• Experience in capturing project requirements, developing project schedules, and developing systems engineering artifacts

Desired Skills:

• Experience in capturing project requirements, developing project schedules, and developing systems engineering artifacts

• Prior technical lead / project management experience

• CAM/EVM experience

• Experience in establishing vision and strategy for an organization/team

• Experience in integrating complex information and summarizing to management via email or presentations

• Exposure to systems engineering, network engineering, communications engineering, and/or telecommunications

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
