Hourly Rate $9.43

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - Must be available to work up to 19 ½ hours per week Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am as assigned by DSS Director. Must be available to work some evening and weekends as assigned.

Summary of Position

Must be available to attend all classes (morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekend classes) either in person on campus and/or online for virtual lectures with students and acts as note taker, test reader and/or test scribe as assigned. May be called upon to transcribe audio lectures, scribe for tests, read tests to students, and assist with test scheduling/proctoring as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education

Must have completed a minimum of six (6) credit hours at a college or university, with three (3) credit hours being in English 1301 or its equivalent college level English with a B grade or better. GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Minimum Required Experience

Note taking or tutoring experience is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Be fluent in the English language to include verbal and writing proficiency. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to work flexible hours (including evening hours) to accommodate student schedules at both main campus and Ft Hood Campus. Must be available to work up to 19 ½ hours per week Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday 7:30am-11:30am as assigned by DSS Director. Must be available to work some evening and weekends as assigned. Must have computer to be able to transfer notes onto a Microsoft word document and be able to email notes to students, as well as attend online virtual lectures as needed.

Must have reliable transportation to and from main campus and Ft Hood Campus. Must be people oriented and capable of working with students from diverse backgrounds. Must be able to maintain confidentiality as pertaining to student information. Must have computer, lap top, or tablet for notes and virtual lectures.
