Summary of Position

Responsible for the delivery and ongoing support of all user services ( e.g., desktop computing platforms, peripheral devices, printers, mobile devices, and audio-visual services).

Supervises the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment.

Minimum Required Education

Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required.

Bachelors Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education preferred.

Minimum Required Experience

Four years of experience in desktop computing, mobile devices, and audio-visual equipment, maintenance, installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software required; must include one year of supervisory experience.

Two years work experience can be substituted with a Bachelors Degree.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to plan, schedule and supervise the work of several technicians.

  • Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot computer, audio-visual equipment, and Cisco switching equipment (building switches).

  • Skilled in the maintenance of desktop computers, mobile devices, audio-visual equipment, and Cisco switching equipment (building switches).

  • Ability to maintain inventory of equipment and software

  • Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.

  • Ability to interact tactfully with customers and vendors.

  • Ability to operate college-owned vehicles.

  • Ability to quickly learn new desktop, mobile, and audio-visual technologies and transfer that knowledge to subordinate technicians.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in matters concerning desktop and mobile device computing and audio-visual services.

  • Ability to manage proactively and anticipate problems before they arise.

  • Ability to plan and maintain a schedule.

  • Ability to write and speak clearly.

  • Ability and commitment to work cooperatively as a member of a team with commitment to team objectives.

    Salary 1I/Per Salaried Pay Scale

    Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-11:30 Fri 7:30-11:30
