GVI, Inc. seeks a Technical Writer I to provide logistics and technical support on behalf of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport in Keyport, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

Document Support

· Prepare technical manual changes from existing Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) source material and from government supplied change documentation.

· Prepare new technical manuals from government and other contractors supplied source documentation that will be in the form of engineering drafts, engineering drawings, graphics, source material or similar describing technical manual input.

· Edit and create Standardized General Markup Language (SGML) / Extensible Markup Language (XML) source text.

· Create and update Technical Manual graphics from government-provided source material.

· Attend Status Meeting as required.

Position Requirements:

· Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.

· Knowledge of Navy technical manuals

· Familiarity with Arbortext or other SGML/SML.

· Electronic Warfare system experience.
