Aviation Systems Engineering Company, Inc. (ASEC) Senior Systems Specialist in Kent, Washington

Description As a Senior Systems Specialist/Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Forces (MPRF) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide PMA-290 (P-8A) with analysis and engineering support for baseline and combat systems software and hardware integration. This position is eligible for telework; the selected candidate must be able to travel to the Kent, WA facility when needed. Specific responsibilities will include: Providing recommendations to PMA-290 product teams regarding the integration and test of the newest version of software to conduct ASW and ISR missions Providing inputs to the PMA-290 leadership regarding integration and testing of Poseidon communications and track management systems (mission systems, environmental, sensor, mission planning, etc.) Summarizing results of analysis and investigation, when required, in the form of written and oral briefings Reviewing applicable communications and track management software design documentation, test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports for accuracy and completeness Providing hands-on developmental and regression testing of P-8A communications and track management subject areas on government integration lines, Software Development Lab (SDL), and Weapon System Integration Lab (WSIL) Analyzing data to develop training materials that emphasize the differences between software and hardware for fleet releases for the Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP) Preparing training materials to be presented at regularly scheduled positional training meetings Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience: Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance operational experience of at least 7 years Experience as a US Navy P-8A Tactical Coordinator (TACCO/COTAC) of at least 3 years Must be experienced in all facets of ASW, ASuW, CSG Support, and ISR including coordination, mission planning, mission execution, tactics, and post-flight Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers required Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proactive personality with the ability to work with limited guidance and supervision Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing competing priorities and initiating projects Instructor TACCO/SEVAL, NATOPS instructor/ evaluator, Weapon and Tactics Instructor highly desired Current P-8A qualified TACCO a plus Minotaur experience preferred Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
