We are looking for a responsible leader who is excited by the prospect of developing and leading theoperations of our youth education, childcare or enrichment programs hosted in the Highline and Auburn School Districts.You will be the key player in developing ourprograms, managing a program budget and working with and leading a team to provide the best programing and services to participants.

Hiring Range: $67,724.80- $72,072

This is a Regular, Full-Time Role, supporting programs hosted at elementary schools across the Northshore School District.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

  1. Establishes new program activities and expands program(s) within the community in accordance with the Association and branch strategic plans.

  2. Develops and manages the budgets related to the position. Meets fiscal objectives.

  3. Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Provides development and leadership.

  4. Compiles program statistics and provides data and reports as required for assigned program(s). Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program(s).

  5. Provides leadership and support for branch management team, annual fund raising campaign, and volunteer committees/boards as assigned.

  6. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations, schools and agencies related to assigned programs.

  7. Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with branch marketing plans.

  8. Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with YMCA standards, all relevant regulations and other applicable standards.

  9. Ensures high quality programs through innovative program development evaluations and ongoing training of staff.

  10. Ensures upkeep of related facilities and equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

What we're looking for in an applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant program areaor equivalent education/experience. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.Forty-five or more college credits in programming related to child development preferred.

  2. Two years or moreyears of experience with staff and volunteer supervision, program development, budget management.

  3. Experience and knowledge with youth behavior management and child abuse prevention.

  4. Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.

  5. Ability to visit sites and community organizations.

Preferred Education/Experience

  1. Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
