Tri-Tec Manufacturing CNC Programmer in Kent, Washington

Tri-Tec Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team as a day shift Mill Programmer. The experience range for a successful applicant is should have at least 5-10 year of experience as a machinist and 1-3 years of CNC programming experience, thorough knowledge of cutting tools and application of tools and looking to grow in that role.

In this role, you will support the development, manufacturing, and deployment of valves and valve actuators installed aboard current and future US Navy Destroyers, Frigates and Aircraft Carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Programming for short-run, complex components.
  • Read and interpret design blueprints, program the CNC machine, and adjust the machine settings until the desired specifications are met.
  • Interact with and support the machinists in the shop by revising programs and storing work in a database, as well as keeping programs organized, updated and properly labeled.
  • Make manual program adjustments as necessary
  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process

Our machines include 3 and 4 axis vertical mills, 4 axis Horizontal mills, and 3 and 4 axis Turning centers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to demonstrate 5-10 years of experience as a machinist.
  • Able to demonstrate 1-3 year of experience in CNC programming.
  • Able to work unsupervised for most of your shift.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with MasterCAM 2021 or newer.
  • Experience with Vericut is desired but not required.
  • Good attitude about work.
  • Able to follow verbal and written directions and work within an established system
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Successful work experience in a team environment
  • Regular and Reliable Attendance.

Starting pay range: $28 - $36 per hour. CNC Programmer entire pay range $28 - $40 per hour.
