Process Support 1 - Chrome Masker - 2nd Shift Job Overview Job Title: Process Support 1 - Chrome Masker - 2nd Shift Reports to: Value Stream Manager or Shift Supervisor Location: Kent, WA Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt (hourly) Schedule: 2nd Shift; Training on 1st shift for approximately 90 days Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Job Summary Employees in this position will apply a variety of maskants to parts in preparation for Chrome plating application. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. * FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing. Responsibilities Work closely with other experienced Maskers, Operators, Specialists, and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks. Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Maskers, Operators, and Department Leads. General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors. Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning. Apply maskants to parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards. Perform pre- and post-cleaning surface finish requirements. Follow Quality Assurance requirements. Follow safety precautions as trained. Assist in other areas within the Value Stream as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must have a regular and dependable attendance record. Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility. Education/Previous Experience Requirements 1-2 years with prior aerospace production, or manufacturing production environment a plus.
