Mantua St., 44240 Requisition ID:195066 Position Overview The Davey Tree Expert Company has a career opportunity in the Kent, Ohio corporate office for a full-time Financial Analyst within our Treasury Department. Responsible for assisting in the administration of the Davey Tree Equity Program. Work with the equity program's Access/SQL database, process all types of stock transactions, including written correspondence and check processing. This role will assist with our annual insurance applications and risk management survey. The position will be responsible for providing daily support for cash and Treasury operations, cash forecasting, short-term borrowing, analysis, and reporting. There will be additional opportunities, when appropriate, for further development into shareholder relations, banking analysis and reporting. Special projects as necessary. Job Duties Review, update & maintain cash forecasts, by working with Asst. Treasurer to maintain formulas and structure of Excel based cash forecast and use trend analysis to assist with predictive trend patterns. Reconcile actual cash results to forecast and explain variances. Predict short-term borrowing needs. Assist with calculating dividend payments and allocation of shares to 401KSOP. Assist in the maintenance of the Microsoft Access Shareholder Database (i.e., update addresses, record stock transactions, etc.) with strict confidentiality. Work to prepare presentations for senior leadership meetings (i.e. Board of Director, Annual Plan). Prepare weekly redemption report for senior management. Help drive improvements to Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) related mailing process. Assist with composing and prepares routine correspondence to shareholders. Process various stock transactions such as redemptions, purchases, certificate replacements, issue new stock certificates, transfers, etc. Process check requests and invoices. Assist with various mass mailings relating to shareholder activity. Assist with completing the annual insurance applications. Assist with annual enterprise risk management (ERM) survey. Sorts and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail via email, fax, FedEx, etc. Special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of business finance or other relative experience. Must work well in teams and excel in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible. Takes initiative and be coachable. Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions. Proficiency with Excel is critical for success in the role and familiarity with data query tools is extremely helpful (Access, SQL, Business Objects). Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); SAP a Plus Must be able to professional communicate both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Maintains strict confidentiality. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials. Must have a professional appearance.
